This HN7000S modem is a great spare or replacement modem, and an excellent upgrade to the previous models including the DW6000 and DW7000 models.  In most of our comparisons, we've seen pages such as www.cnn.com and other load approx. 3 - 5 seconds faster than previous models.  

Another nice part is that by paying cash for your modem, there is no need to commit to a 2 year contract with HughesNet to benefit from the features and enhancements that the HN7000S modem provides.  So... you can stop and start your service as needed! (HughesNet may charge you disconnect and re-connect fees at some point... we can't control that!)

Also... we will assist you over the phone or e-mail in swapping out your existing modem and commissioning the new modem.  We will also offer you a Free HughesNet Account Setup package for your new modem if necessary (a $35.00 value).  One word of caution... if you are upgrade from a DW6000 or DW7000, you may be required to have your dish pointed to a different satellite, and if that is not feasible, we may have to help you do a satellite change request, and if so, there is an additional $50.00 charge for that service.

NOTE:  If you don't mind committing to a 2 year service agreement, there's really no need to spend $399 just for a modem, as complete systems are only $299.98 now (after rebate) and that usually includes a Free Standard Professional Installation!
