This is a new spare or replacement 45 watt power supply for use with the DirecWay DW6000, DW7000 and HughesNet HN7000S modems that are using a 1 watt transmitter.  This power supply is not recommended for any system with a 2 watt transmitter. A weak or damaged power supply can cause transmitter errors and lost packets or complete loss of power. This power supply does not require the "IBM" cord that comes from the wall to the power supply on other power supply models as it is an all-in-one power supply.  This power supply has since been replaced by the 64 watt power supply, however we have several of these models available for a reduced price for a limited time only!

This spare or replacement power supply will work with any residential DirecWay or HughesNet DW6000, DW7000 or HN7000S modem.  It is NOT designed for use with 2 watt transmitters or with the 7700 model of modems.  If you have been experiencing transmission errors, lost packets, an inability to crosspole, etc., it may be as simple as a weak or bad power supply, especially if your existing power supply was not protected by a surge supression or battery backup system.  We have found power supplies to be a common problem during service calls and troubleshooting.

NOTE:  HughesNet recommends that you unplug the power from the wall outlet, not from the modem when power cycling or rebooting the modem.  This will prevent wear and damage to the pins inside of the modem and may prolong the life of the modem and / or power supply adapter.
