This is a refurbished 1 watt ISIS transmitter for use with most .74m and .98m residential and small business HughesNet or DirecWay high speed satellite Internet systems. This transmitter will also fit the old original DirecWay white composite dish antenna's with the white arm! This item is the perfect spare or replacement transmitter, although, since you are looking... now may be a good time to consider upgrading to a 2 watt transmitter, which will offer you better capabilities over the 1 watt.

Refurbished means that this transmitter was replaced during a field service call, or failed to pass HughesNet's quality control and was returned to Hughes for repair / replacement, and tested and re-tested accordingly, then re-sealed.  Refurbished transmitters (radios) are commonly used as replacements in the field for bad transmitters or commonly used on spare dishes to add services to a second location.   A refurbished transmitter comes with a 30 day replacement warranty, and a new transmitter comes with a 90 day warranty, however the refurbished transmitter is usually approx. $100 less than a new one.  In our experience, going with a refurbished model is almost a better decision than purchasing a new one, as the refurbished one has been tested and re-tested to pass Hughes quality control.
