This is an optional arm element that can be used with the Hot Shot HotShot satellite dish antenna heater kits to keep snow and ice from collecting on the LNB support arm of the dish. This element is 2" wide x 14" long. This item is an optional add-on component that requires a Hot Shot Heater Kit (HS18NGRFKIT, HS24NGRFKIT, HSSLNGRFKIT, or HS38NGRFKIT for power)
The HotShot arm heater warms the LNBF support arm to assist in prevention of snow buildup. Snow piling up on the LNBF support arm can reduce the signal path enough to interfere with TV reception even if your dish has a HotShot heater on the reflector. We highly recommend this accessory in northern climate areas where the dish elevation angle is low to the horizon and the LNBF support arm is flat enough (horizontal) to allow snow accumulation on the support arm.
HotShot heaters have one accessory plug on the blanket and the HS14ARM plugs directly into the provided socket connection on you HotShot. Fits: DTV Slimline, DTV66E Dish Network 1000, 1000.2, 1000.4
•Connects to a HotShot heater blanket •Self-adhesive •Plugs directly into the ‘Accessory’ plug of the HotShot heater blanket •UV resistant •Switches on/off in parallel with the HotShot heater thermostat sensor •Uses the HotShot heater blanket power supply

The Hot Shot brand of satellite dish antenna heaters and heating systems have been around a long, long time. The first heaters went on the back of the dish during assembly, but the new models are built to just stick on the front of the dish, making post-installation installations simple and easy. This add-on arm element can give you added protection by preventing snow and ice buildup on the LNB support arm of the dish.
The Hot Shot is preferred by professional installers for residential and commercial installations to provide reliable and dependable satellite television service even in the worst of conditions. The Hot Shot will keep snow and ice from collecting on the dish, and optional arm and feed horn elements can be added on to the existing Hot Shot face element to prevent snow and ice buildup on the arm and feed horn of the dish as well if necessary!
