DirecTV is best known in our local service areas for the NFL Sunday Ticket package, but they are quickly growing in popularity with the recent addition of over 90 High Definition channels, as well as other premium sports packages such as the NASCAR Hot Pass, NHL, NBA, MLB, College ball, and more. DirecTV does not offer local network channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and PBS) in any of our local service areas, however you may qualify for receiving those channels broadcast out of either the East Coast (New York) or West Coast (Los Angeles) depending upon your installation address location and so on. DirecTV offers several programming packages starting at just $29.99 for 45 + channels, and they offer "DVR" (digital video recording) features as well.
DirecTV offers qualifying new customers free equipment and free "standard" installation for up to four rooms in your home, Free DVR and / or High Definition equipment upgrades and more. DirecTV does not charge a setup fee or activation fee, however some "upgrade" fees may apply depending upon the equipment you choose. An 18 month to 24 month commitment to service is required and some conditions apply. You must provide a credit / debit card and Soc. Sec. Number to apply and qualify for any DirecTV Promotions.
The current DirecTV satellite dish is called the DirecTV Slimline AU9S 5-phase, which requires a nice, clear line of site to the south, as it receives programming from 5 satellites (99, 101, 103,110, 119). It faces approx. 150 degrees from our local service areas at an elevation of approx. 32 degrees. It requires a clear line of site from approx. 140 degrees thru 165 degrees for proper operation.
